Father Mychal Judge
God answered my prayers through this guy’s documentary.    Did you know?…. He was a Franciscan priest in NYC. He was the first recorded casualty of 9/11. He WENT OUT and served the homeless. He was a former alcoholic, and AA member for 23 years. He was gay. THIS MAN IS REAL.       Father Mychal Judge quotes: “I, Mychal Judge, am not capable of doing these things on my...

Panama Update (Day #5)
So here’s a piece of an update I actually e-mailed to Ate Jaline. A quick update on what’s happening over here: My Spanish is still in the toddler phase.  I can easily do greetings and very simple phrases, and understand the most common phrases/terms when they talk, but it’s still really really hard to keep up.  Thank God I have Sara here to translate for me the whole time.  But, this...

Panama Days #2 and #3
26 junio de 2011 Bueno! First off, I want to thank you for all your prayers because I am telling you… they have been gold –worth MUCH more than gold actually.  Truly, God hears our prayers and Dios proveera.  I have been having SUCH a blessed time here in Panama.  Still difficult?  Heck ya.  I still don’t know what they’re saying, or even what I’m saying most of the time but it’s been a blessed...

Soon to see: light + works: St. Marks on Capitol... →
light-works: I’ve been wanting to photograph St Marks on Capitol Hill for quite awhile. St. Marks is Seattle’s working class cathedral, in some ways a rough-hewn reminder of the European cathedrals of old. Concrete buttresses, stone interiors, with a beautiful, unfinished ceilin, made of massive…

The Power of Speech
“Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”“ (Gen1:3) God used it. He gave it to us to use. Speech has the ability to create something where there was once nothing. That’s powerful.
